Strategies
Cost leadership is the strategy of lowering the cost of products or services and
offering into a market that competition happened .
July 21, 2019June 7, 2019 Essentials by Kanika Kataria
When products or services lunched into the market usually humans care in the beginning
about products or services price then they would be concern about the other elements
such as :quality , the amount or the capacity , and size, etc.
Product differentiation is marketing process of offering products or services by
distinguish from others in the market . it involves defining the offering’s unique position
in the market by determining and explaining the unique features to the target audience .
The importance of product differentiation is that with increased in competition the
demand has divided among different players in the market . in this case the business
should offer a different unique product or I would say a patent of products or services in
the market which the competition happened, therefore the reason of Product
differentiation is for enter into the market strongly. and it is important for businesses to
make their costumers understand what different they have to offer.
A product can be differentiation based on:
Price, features, performance and quality, reliability, looks, location, etc.
Services add differentiation of factors such as ease to order, delivery on time or before
time, company costumer relationships, customization.

The market segmentation is the strategy of dividing the market of potential
costumers based on principles characteristics such as age, gender, needs, interests,
demographical, location, etc. the members of these groups share similar characteristics
may have one common or more of these characteristics which makes the easier for the
marketers to craft their marketing communications massages for the entire group .

Example of market segmentation: the kite toy is more likely to purchase by the children
while the lily drone is more likely to purchase by adults .
STC has competitors and STC is a mobile operator and mobile operators are
competitive. May 25, 2020 12:00 ET | Source: BuddeComm
The strategies that improve the performance of STC, I guess are the cost
leadership, and the market segmentation.
Cost leadership is important to improve the performance of the organization specially if
the organization lost the control of the inventory . therefore the organization’s market
share will rise .
Market segmentation is the strategy to catch the potential costumers I think this strategy
is to focus on who the highest audience would purchased the products or services, I
would say this strategy is important for the organization to know its operations and to
know where its commodities are going to distribute.

Saudi Telecom Company
Hardware System of the Company
Hardware systems constitute the physical elements or components of a system
(Alfahl & Sanzogni, 2017). The Saudi Telecom Company information technology
infrastructure has a hardware system that comprises physical components and devices
used by the company to implement its communication roles e effectively and efficiently
(Alfahl & Sanzogni, 2017). Being that communication is the primary role of the
organization, it has physical devices and elements like mobile phones and other
telephony devices that can enhance communication over a distance using the cellular
network technology (Al-Kahtani, 2018).
The Saudi Telecom Company also has portable computers like laptops, desktops,
smartphones, and other personal computers that help store customers’ private information
and all the subscribers to the internet and other telecommunications services offered by
the company (Alfahl & Sanzogni, 2017). The company’s hardware mentioned above
components works together with the software system to enhance satisfactory service
delivery to its customers.
Software
The information technology infrastructure of the Saudi Telecom Company has
software that enhances efficient service delivery to all its subscribers (Alfahl & Sanzogni,
2017). First, the company recently made a software improvement by incorporating the
cloud computing technology in its storage system. The software, as mentioned above,
technological advancement has enabled the company to leverage access to its fixed and
mobile networks and its data centers with a lot of ease (Al-Kahtani, 2018). Based on the
company’s short-time experience since the implementation of the cloud computing
technology, the technology has significantly simplified the management and storage of
the company’s massive database by reliving the hardware storage components the burden
of storage(Al Hamed & Alenezi, 2016). This has been made possible by creating cloud
stores where crucial information regarding the company and its customers are stored and
made accessible by authorized persons.
Information Security
Saudi Telecom Company is a primary telecommunication service provider in the
Middle East, aside from Go Telecom, which is another licensed telecommunication entity
in the region (Alfahl & Sanzogni, 2017). Therefore, the company has large customer
bases, providing several opportunities for cybercriminals to access its information
system, thus posing the company to potential risks like credit card and id theft (AlKahtani, 2018). However, the company has established security features within its
information technology infrastructure like threat detection and incident response
technologies that help prevent insecurity concerns.
Network
Alongside Mobily and Zain Saudi Arabia, Saudi Telecom Company is also a
significant provider of the region (Alfahl & Sanzogni, 2017). The company has made
network advancements and improved its provision of network services to its subscribers
within the area by moving from the 4g to 5g technology (Al-Kahtani, 2018). Research
has indicated not once not twice but time without number that the 5g technology that the
company recently incorporated in its operation has significantly improved its network
services by increasing the potential to support very many communication devices faster.
Telecommunication
The telecommunication department of Saudi Telecom Company is essential for
the company’s communication role because it enhances the transmission of data in
various forms like audio, video, texts, etc. to different parts in the region where the
c0ompany operates (Al Hamed & Alenezi, 2016). The telecommunication sector of the
company, which has recently become more of a video, texts, and data rather than voice, is
supported by communication devices like wireless phones that globally enhance faster
transmission of data.
Conclusion:
We all know that this is the age of technology, and the competition is very intense
between companies to get the most technological features, and in, STC has spearheaded
this area and strongly, which forecasts a spectacular future for this company and for the
country in general, where it is always seeking to create every new in the communications
world
