Research Area: Arts and cultural promotioneach student will submit a written report to declare his/her research area with an initial exploration of the research topic supported with literature review. You will further develop this same study to collect preliminary research data in Assignment 2. Ideally, this study may serve as preparatory work for your Graduate Project to be started in the next semester. After deciding on the general research area, you should review the literature to narrow down to a more specific research topic. With reference to what is taught in this course about literature review, your literature review should inform you about the existing knowledge in the field so that you identify a research gap that your proposed study could fill. By critically reviewing and summarizing the existing literature, you should be able to argue for the significance of your proposed topic and map out some directions of how you are to approach your proposed study. Be sure to organize your literature review in a clear structure, with an Introduction, the main body organized in effective themes and flow, and a Conclusion. You should identify the research objectives of your proposed research in the conclusion. Stating the research question(s) is desirable but not compulsory. Any form of plagiarism will be penalized. You may result in an ‘F’ in the paper or the course if serious plagiarism is committed. Word count: 2000 words English (±200 words) (References excluded) Citation style: APA 7th editionCICA A897F
